Gabe Firment was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives in 2019 and currently serves as Chairman of the House Insurance Committee. He and his wife, Erica, a public school educator, are the proud parents of three children and grandparents of three grandchildren.

Gabe’s roots run deep throughout Louisiana’s 5th Congressional District. He grew up in Rapides Parish, earned degrees from Louisiana Christian University and Louisiana Tech University, and raised his family in Grant Parish. As a small business owner, legislator, and community leader, Gabe understands the values, challenges, and opportunities that define rural Louisiana. He has built a reputation as a principled conservative who fights for lower taxes, stronger families, public safety, and common-sense solutions that put Louisiana families first.

Contributions are not tax deductible as a charitable donation for federal income tax purposes. By law, the maximum amount an individual may contribute is $7,000 per election ($3,500 to Primary and $3,500 to General). Federal multi-candidate PACs may contribute $5,000 per election. Federal Election Law requires political committees to report the name, mailing address, occupation, and name of employer for contributions where aggregate is in excess of $200 per election cycle. Contributions from corporations, foreign nationals, labor unions and federal government contractors are prohibited.
